The library holds the documentation produced on the works entrusted to the department for study or restoration: restoration and work-school reports, photographic documentation, final dissertations by student restorers.
The restoration of cultural property, as taught at Inp, places great emphasis on the documentation produced during the work carried out on the objects entrusted to it: photographs of the works and objects under various types of radiation, X-rays, 3D scans and analyses carried out by the laboratory; restoration reports, final dissertations written by the students and their final dissertations; school site reports.
This work constitutes unpublished documentation that enriches the files on the works of the lending institutions to which it must be made accessible, as well as to conservation-restoration professionals.
